Alhaji Abubakari Abdulai is currently the Acting Director of Internal Audit at the University for Development Studies, UDS Tamale. He is esteemed as a man of integrity and a results-oriented leader with a history of achieving excellence and impact through teams.
Abdulai Abubakari is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana (IIA). He is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast UCC, obtaining a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA)-in General Management, 2014. He also holds a B.A degree in Integrated Development Studies (IDS) 1998 from the University for Development Studies, Tamale. Advance level, 1992.
He has a remarkable work history from a wide range of notable institutions. His previously held roles and experiences in Microfinance, Accounting and Auditing spans over fifteen (15) years. He held the posts of Management Accountant as well as the Regional Accountant at the Ghana Post Company in Tamale. He is an adjunct lecturer in Advance Corporate Accounting, Taxation and Advance Auditing with ACCA students in Tamale. In addition, he has bountiful wisdom in Financial Management, Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Internal Controls.
Mr. Abdulai also serves as a significant member on the Board of Al-Sadi Senior High School and Baobab Microfinance Limited, Tamale. He is a well-versed researcher and has published in several articles and journals at both national and international levels. He has chaired and facilitated several workshops and conferences. He is also an educationist and has a great deal of interest in matters of education and community engagements.
